Meet Davon Crawford, a passionate doula dedicated to empowering births and nurturing communities. As the founder of Divine Birthright, LLC, she uplifts Black, Indigenous, and families of color, propelled by her profound understanding of the transformative power of birth. Beyond doula services, Davon envisions a community that cultivates support and empowerment.

Meet Shante

Director of Programs and Human Resources

“I’m on a mission to develop new doulas into business women.”

Beyond her work, Shante is a nature enthusiast who enjoys outdoor activities. She's a proud pet parent to two furry companions.

Shante invites you to connect with her on your unique birthing journey.

Shante's journey as a doula began after completing DONA doula training and volunteering at a San Francisco hospital. With a background in program management and a degree in Business Marketing from Sonoma State University, she's now pursuing a career as a Sonographer.

As the director of programs at Doula Doula, Shante plays a vital role in enhancing the birthing experience for mothers and families. She also mentors aspiring doulas.

Meet Janice

Development and Partnership Manager

“Rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices and a commitment to fostering an environment where parents can make informed choices”

During Janice’s years as a manager at a women’s health and prenatal clinic, along with her journey through motherhood, Janice realized her passion and calling was to support and empower birthing parents during one of the most transformative moments of their lives - childbirth and early parenthood. Janice believes that every family deserves the highest level of care and support during this life-changing transition. Her approach is rooted in empathy, evidence-based practices and a commitment to fostering an environment where parents can make informed choices, feel heard, and experience the magic of childbirth and parenthood with confidence.

Janice approaches her work with a commitment to individualized care. She takes the time to understand the unique needs and preferences of each family she serves, crafting tailored solutions that fit seamlessly into their lives. When she’s not shuffling all the kids around between school and activities, Janice enjoys crafting, gardening, reading, and baking.

Janice is a birth and postpartum doula, a pediatric sleep consultant, a mother of 5 amazing boys and a natural born caregiver.

For years, Janice navigated the corporate world, climbing the corporate ladder and achieving professional milestones, however, she always felt something was missing and that she had a greater calling in life.

Meet Yasmin

Communication and Events Manager

“I’m on a mission to attract doulas and birthing people of color to join our social media community and receive our nurturing touch and impactful presence to feel empowered in birthing spaces.”

Yasmin is also available to support moms through challenging maternal experiences such as; DNC’s, miscarriages, as well as navigating pregnancy after loss. She is currently aspiring to become a Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Yasmin supports from a place of grace, love, and empowerment. When she is not working to reduce the Black infant and maternal death rates through her support; she enjoys nurturing her 7 year old and 10 month old baby. She loves traveling, trying new foods, meditating, spending time outdoors, or reading.

Meet Yasmin, a passionate certified doula and breastfeeding peer counselor. She enjoys helping her mamas with post-partum planning, breastfeeding support, nutrition and holistic wellness. Yasmin’s goal is to weave in nutritional meal planning and holistic postpartum strategies to ease the transition into motherhood, aiming to reduce chances of postpartum depression and baby blues.
